Kazakhstan is advancing its crypto regulatory framework with plans to establish a State Digital Asset Fund by 2026. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has directed lawmakers to draft a comprehensive digital asset law, positioning the country as a leader in institutional crypto adoption. The proposed fund, managed by the National Bank's investment arm, will focus on acquiring cryptocurrencies with long-term growth potential.

The MOVE follows Kazakhstan's progressive track record, including the 2023 launch of its central bank digital currency, the Digital Tenge. As governments increasingly formalize crypto regulations, both institutional and retail investors are expected to deepen their exposure to the asset class.
